Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

What a year we have shared. When you sit down and think through all that we've been through together it just seems like it was too much for a single year!

I just want to thank you one last time for sharing your kiddos with me through this year. While this year was hard, and we definitely "fell forward" through a lot of it, they made it so much more enjoyable. To be able to still laugh so hard at school and just enjoy being together, was a huge gift for me. I'm not usually at a loss for words, but saying goodbye to this group of students was harder than usual.

So one last time parents, I want to share with you the parting pep talk I give your kids. (I know I missed giving it to Green 4 in person due to graduation, but it is going to them through Canvas today.

You are smart. You are compassionate. I have watched these students be kind to each other, look out for one another, and just genuinely care (mostly) through this year. They have worked hard and showed perseverance through some rough times. They have maintained their ability to laugh! So much in life is helped by good laughter. So when the voice in your head starts to tell you that you aren't enough, whatever enough is (tall, smart, pretty, fast, fill in the blank), know that it is lying. That voice is wrong. So hear the follow up voice of Mrs. Beineman telling you that you are. You are great and do not forget it.

I hope your family enjoys this much needed summer break! Your kids are going to do amazing things and I can't wait to see it happen.

Thanks again!
